I usually do it every 25-30 runs or so. That was the Walmart oil. What about synthetic? Do you change it less often or the same interval?

Hi Dave - put a longer bolt in with some Loctite thread repair and torqued it up OK. I guess I was only using the end threads. I am running Syntec 10-40 this year. Later

I guess either nobody else changes their oil or it's top secret information:eek:

We're doing it about every 20-25 runs. Didn't matter synthetic or not. The key part about doing that is cutting the filter open to check for unhappy signs...

Mike--

Do you use one of those special tools designed for cutting oil filters?

If so, where did you get it & about how much $$$$?

The hacksaw method just adds metal:(

Yep... We use one of those.. Stuff the filter in a vice and spin!

The tool was retired from Sawyer Automotive's active duty and now resides at the Sawyer Homestead. (Basically what I'm trying to say is that I have no clue where it came from... lol)

Dave,
Maybe try a larger sized tailpipe chain cutter instead that offensive hack saw.
