Hey all,
I have a piece freshly posted @ www.nitronic.com
http://www.nitronic.com/ihra/doorslammed/no2vhuffer.html
It is about the new Pro Mod season, and my prediction of the nitrous car dying off. Don't remind me about Shannon Jenkins...he he

Brian,
Nice story. But it reminds me of the sad state the Pro Mod class is in. Subject for another day.
By any chance while you were there did you get to speak to Harold Martin? I have met him and spoken on the phone with him on several occaisions. That guy is as sharp as a tack!

Now that you mention it, I'd rather be blown too! There's something about those blowers sticking out of the hood OVER the roof! Awesome! Think you could footbrake one? :p

NICE ARTICLE. The Photos were great, too.
Personally, I prefer Blown cars, so I won't miss the NOS cars one bit. Nitrous should only be used in Pro Stock, as it has "history" there.;)

Hey All,
First off, thanks for reading.
DOT...I had the chance to talk to Harold, the guy is brilliant. Now if he could get his car to run the numbers..... (as of now he is unqualified after 1 session @ the rock). Let's hear your opinions on the class...seriously.. I'm interested (I am not being sarcastic).
Mark..... Given the chance I'd try like hell to foot brake it. Hanging over the wall when those cars were passing me by was close enough for me...holy hell.. they are truckin' by 60 feet!!!!
Grandpa.....There's not a better way to rile up dem Dodge boys than mentioning the words nitrous and pro-stock in the same paragraph! My opinion on that historic fire? They went from kicking ass to kissing it pretty fast....you draw your own conclusions. I assume Mr. Diamond will have a commentary about this topic.
once again thanks for reading!

Shop break-in a hired job?
Seems to me that if several motors can be made to run that good in pre-breakin days that they should be able to duplicate it after. Sure seems suspicious that after Gliddens kid showed how it was done that breakin happened shortly after and performance could never be duplicated.
Of course, that is only "rumor". As for Eckman, seems he has relocated to same complex as original Wayne County shop owners :D .

ya why he relocate he was bannedforever sold car to west coast racer JOe sherman. and when all your stuff likes blocks and stuff is one off stuff makes it hardto duplicate . amd i think mike sullivan had enough of the GMhra.

Guess they weren't very good at keeping records of what they did. Molds must have been lost too.
Makes you wonder how they ever kept two cars running with no spares and inability to replace broken/worn parts.
