We'll be good to go. Hopefully we'll be able to hit Atco and shake some cobwebs out in mid-late march, too... Got to do something to break up with winter boredom.

Later!

Hello boys, I am ready to rock and roll, I think my neighbors are getting sick of me driving my racecar up and down the street on Saturday afternoon. Hopefully with the changes made I will put the Silver Bullet into the mid to low 10 second range. Well off to do some burnouts, see ya all soon.

Hey Craig....

Just tell your neighbors that you're making the road safer by putting some rubber down. It'll be stickier for them ;-)

Later!

"hate" is such a harsh word....... More like "discord"

BTW: Attention MOPAR Crew Chiefs, Home Depot is having a close out sale on all winter shovels...... Better know as a "Torgueflight 727 carrying case / organizer "

No Mopar Crew member or track clean-up person should be without one.

Welcome aboard, Mr. Bill :D

Dave,
I have to pit close to those Mopars so I won't have to walk so far for tools to work on them between rounds:D .
See you in a couple weeks,

Well, motor is together, carb to pan. Trans is freshened. The trailer is in storage with a whole bunch of other vehicles in front of it. So, have to wait till others decide to take their stuff out, before I can get to the trailer.

DAVE WHAT IS THE FASTEST SUPER STOCKER IS THE COUNRTY , NOT A CAMORO FACT PRODUCTION CARS NOW. WELL I HOE IGET YOU AND ST MARO IN A GAMBLERS RACE SOME DAY THAT WAY ITS 2 EASY RND WINS, HAD A VETERANN ET RACER TEL LME ONE DAY , ALWAYS LOKK FOR A STICK SHIFT CHEVROLET, OR ANY CHEVROLET THEY ALLWAYS BREAK.

Malibu8x28
03-12-2002, 07:08 PM
The fastest super stocker is harry holtens cuda. b/c the 68 cuda hatchback w/ the 426 hemi is the only car that fits in SS/A or SS/AA. The only A/SA in the 9's would be a chevy though of course, not anythin else.. :)

Of course we do Justin.
Motor came out today. Teardown showed a couple rings with no tension as was suspected. Now just fit the rings and pop in new bearings then it'll be ready to rock and roll. Still playing with some other stuff too.
If everything works like I hope, it should be real strong this year. Of course it didn't do bad with couple weak cylinders either.

Fired up the "Chebby" as you Mopar guys like to call them and it made the world OK again! It doesn't matter what happens in life as long as I can traverse the 1/4 mile! Have a tranny leak but I think I tightened the pan bolts too much. Dave - thanks for the advice - the Fel-Pro valve cover gaskets are NOT leaking! It's funny - I don't know if the engine is more responsive or it's the damn adrenaline from just hearing the thing come to life. Hey Justin - you wanna run heads up? BIG secrets down there huh? I'm calling you out! :D Still buzzin from breaking in the new cam! Hurry up everybody - 2.5 weeks to go. Doug, I hope you have some "G" rated material for this year! :D Oh yeah, don't forget.........I'm the defending MOD champ until someone puts me out. Hee hee

mod313
03-21-2002, 09:25 PM
Of course I have "G" rated stuff. "G" for all GOOD. Motor is finished and goes back in tomorrow along with new converter. Now if it will all do what I hope it will really be Good this year.

I am happy to report that after a year that involved waiting for the engine to be built headers to be shipped ( that wound up not fitting anyway) and other assorted problems the 93 Camaro that I drove to the #2 spot in Street in 2000 has seen the track. Thanks to the hard work of Ray Sawyer (Sawyer Automotive ) that put together everything I dropped of at his door.Tuner and test pilot Mike Sawyer took to the track at Atco this weekend.Intial runs in the 11.70's were followed by a last pass fuel mapping change that resulted in a 11.16@122.29 with MIke reporting hitting one of the limiters (they were set on the low side for safety) before clearing the top end and knowing that there's more to be had on the lower end. Mike will test the car again in April at New England with his lap top ready to find more power with the touch of a key pad.. kind of scary to us old carburetor guys

Let me just say this...

I love Fuel Injection. Now it's time to raise that 7200 RPM limiter up to 7500. :) Maybe now it won't go on the high side chip at 1200'.

Nothing like making a small change and picking up half a second.

Later!
............ Mike

Jim I'll probably run street a few times just because the racers in that group are a great bunch and I will miss them.So when the camaro is parked at the track and I can drive something other than a tow vechicle you may find me there looking for a red mustang to be in the other lane. After all the wifes new ride is a zo6 and if I leave early enough she'll never know!!!!

Im going to attempt to be ready for Sunday. My new Dart Pro-1 345's and Roller cam should be here Tuesday. If all goes well we will be there on Sunday. You will know my car most likely on the ramp truck once again with a blown 12-bolt. Time for a motor on a stick I think
