I am currently taking names for anyone interested in the Hot Rod series we will be running at New England Dragway this year.
Please email me with your intent so I can register you. No fee's apply, but numbers count when courting race sponsors, so let me know please. We are actively seeking single race sponsors who want their companys name and info associated with this exciting new program.

pete....glad to see that you're "taking names". Joe said that you and Jim Mize were going to help out getting this together. There were about 12 or 14 folks that said they'd be interested in participating. The Pasta Bros., Keith Gibbons, Dave M., M Pomerleau, Anna Lise, Casey Grubb, the Rices, Rich Vasquez are some that come to mind. It also might help if Joe could confirm those 1/2 dozen dates that were discussed, as there could be some people in the LV SST association that would be interested, as well as some Mike Sawyer might know.
Best of luck, and let me know if I can help...

Hi Bob,
We will be running the IHRA Hot ROd rules, but we will allow lefthand steer roadsters.
The minimum weight will only be enforced on cars that exceed 130mph. Aside from that, your more than welcome to have some fun with us.

Thanks Steve. I'm basically done with the specifics and looks like all dates are confirmed except for the May 2nd date. Jim Mize, Mike Sawyer and Joe have been a big help!!
I have actually have roughly 30 cars interested so far, that includes a couple from the Valley, so were looking good for a start.
So, does this mean your hopping the bubbletop up? :D

Nope....it will still be a 12 sec. streetable car.
I actually started this thinking about "IF" we were to end up going to NHRA, that most of the bracket guys would no longer be able to run at the National Event. The only way that some would be able to, would be in an "index" class, ....and the 10.90 SST/HR class was the best candidate (as far as having a bunch of cars that could run 10.90 or quicker, and having a .500 tree that most bracket "door" cars could leave on).
Thanx again for stepping up and helping to make it happen. With 30 cars already, it looks like we're off to a good start!!!

I know that I am in, and really looking forward to trying this class out, I have wanted to try it when the National comes to town, but that is allot of money to just try it, you know what I mean. See you all come April, hope I can slow it down enough :D
