Hi all i am getting ready to start ordering parts for my new car a 1969 Nova. It has the old Mechanical lincage for gas pedal i dont feel safe running that type of throttle. My Question is where can i get a Throttle cable and GAS pedal set up to fit or convert it ?? Some one must of went through this problem before . Any help in the right direction is appreciated.

Try looking at Lokar, they may have a neat setup that will work.

And run a minimum of 2 throttle return springs, 1 forward and 1 aft.

I would guess any of the mail order chassis companies would have a universal one that fits anything

Ron,
I run a 1050 Dominator w/Jeg's morse cable onto one of their throttle brackets. It works great.

Ron - try checking out Randy's............

You'll probably find a pedal and cable that works as good as all that ($$$) stuff.

I always thought the solid linkage would be the better way to go. Reasoning being if you ever want to run a throttle stop you'll need it and gives you a toe lift for safety. It is on my to-do list.

Hey Jim cool thought but not for me. lOL I dont cut coreners on safety stuff. LOL.. I might just order stock cable and pedal and get a adjustable bracket. My maine goal is to make lincage a bit safer and get a Adjustable throttle bracket so i can slow car down to 10.00 so i can avoid all the extra stuff required. LOL....On a good note i have a Brand New Set of 31x14x15 tires for you never ran still on the car i am going bigger. Call me if your interested jim. ..Smink thats something to think about i never thought of that ?? hmmm Anyone else running Mechanical Lincage ??

Ron as someone mentioned before the Lokar set up WILL bolt to the floor and the second thing that Henderson mentioned, run a spring fore and aft. That's maine talk for front and back. Check your spelling of main or maineor mane . LOL
