Moroso 5 Day

Well the Moroso has come and gone for another year. It looks like the people from up here that did the best were Rick Bell and Stevie D, both going 6 rounds on Day 1 and Day 4 respectively. Each race went 9 rounds with the exception of Day 5 which went 8. There were no buybacks, the huge number of rounds fueled solely by the number of cars entered.

Scotty Richardson won the points battle over Jeg Coughlin Jr due primarily to his Day 2 win and Day 4 runner-up.

I just got home late this afternoon and I’m way to tired to type. First, I’m glad to say that we were all able to avoid the Duck race!! Although we were a bit scared for a while… We had a good time but the general thought is never again! At least not Moroso. Let me just say that we traveled 1500 miles to race at NED. The track was junk!!!! Lots of bumps. They got behind because of the rain and just never did the right thing. When they had a chance to get caught up, they stopped racing to have casino night rather than continue on. The track did come around on Saturday and Sunday,but by then we were frustrated with the whole place.

Although I did not race at Bradenton, everyone was impressed with their surface. This trip has made me really think about a 4-link.

I went three rounds one day and two the next. Got myself a free entry for next year but I don’t think it’s transferable….

A dragster won all 5 days at moroso......the only car built just for drag racing.......theres gotta be a reason.......the burnout ain't bad either........
