Well guess what showed up at my door unannounced the other day? COD package from GER!!!! I had a nutty on the poor mailman. Those jerks in PA sent it PRIORITY COD after 4.5 months at MY expense! No phone call, no email - just sent the converter back. After I calmed down the mailman told me that they would hold it until I contacted GER and found out what the scoop was. I wanted to find out if they repaired the damn thing before I forked the dough over. When I asked the woamn how they could charge me for priority shipping after such a long wait she just said that's how we send them. $40 for shipping! Cost me $11 to send it! My only options are to pay for it and try to get reimbursed or refuse it all together. I know one thing - it is going for sale cheap on Ebay (with caveat). If I wasn't half Scottish I would melt it down in a bonfire ceremony!

Went to the PO and paid the $54 COD charge for my GER package and guess what? I was suspicious about it and my intuition was correct - the bastards didn't even cut the thing open!!!! They threw it in a box and sent it back with no comment at all! Called them up and got put on hold AGAIN. Hung up and called back and told the woman that I am through dealing with them and now they WILL BE SUED! Oh yeah - I put a stop payment on the check which cost $25 but is worth it to keep this scum from getting any money from me! They are so sleazy they put a date of Dec. 17, 2001 on the invoice which they mailed out April 15th! THEY WILL PAY! :mad:

Dave thanks for the info but I filed a complaint quite some time ago and it's almost as bad as dealing with GER themselves! They haven't returned my calls either! I'm pushing to have them put out of business. It's not right.

Well, I finally got a call from the PA AG's office and the woman told me she is waiting to hear back from GER! Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Sorry - couldn't help myself! I told her "Good Luck" because they NEVER called me in 4.5 months! And I asked her how many other complaints have been filed against them and she wouldn't say. I won't rest until they are out of business! Later :D

Trouble is the BAST---S Have probably already gotten rich off from guys like us . When ever I see there stuff for sale on Ebay I try to put in A good word for them to the bidder. There reputation should get the best of them eventually . We'll have to watch out that they don't come back with A different name. Pay the extra and buy from reputable companies is the safe bet. DAN

Well, it almost took a year but GER finally sent me a replacement 8" converter. You better believe I will not be using it. Maybe I can ask for donations and have a bonfire ceremony to burn it so someone else doesn't have to experience their "great service"? If not it is gonna be sold with a disclaimer for sure. Cheap.

I've been biting my tounge on this one but I have to ask,,, GEEEEERRRRR has been arround for quite sometime now and they have and still are producing junk, why would you buy anything from them let alone send something back to be fixed, it was broken to start with????? OUCH!!!!
