As I was changing engines I noticed that there was something rattling around inside my Mallory Unilite distributor and put my old one in. The problem I seem to keep running into is that when I lock out the advance the plate keeps wanting to move so I expoxied it into place but it cracked the epoxy. What do you use or recommend? I'm running out of spares fast! Thanks in advance (hey - I didn't realize the pun).

I don't know If my comments will spark any controversy
I'd have to give MSD a plug here. They have been a major distributor of quality performance ignitions.
Their tech department is very helpful unlike the competitors retards
MSD Pro-Billet gets my volt :D :D :D

Does it have any internal advance mechanism? I don't want to be mucking with them anymore! Maybe I'll pickup one.
It comes with mechanical centrifical weights & springs for advance. The enclosed directions show you how to easily lock these out.
Any advance rate or complete lock out can be easily made.
"pickup" one.......LOL

Take the weights and springs out and toss them! If you are serious about advancing, I suggest a MOPAR product for starters. All those little thingys are not included, so your brain doesn't need to be in high gear. Tree times are sure to get better without a foggy mind!:p
PS: Do not, I repeat, do not take advice from the Banana man!!!
